Boiled alive

The sun has been cooking your world. At first, the changes were subtle. Those changes have accumulated into in inescapable new world. The water temperature is uncomfortable and continues to rise. The bounties of food offered by the ocean have dwindled and are now scarce. Your neighbors would once help you find food, throw you a happy wag of their fin, or stay out of your way if nothing else.  Their eyes are now filled with hunger. Their eyes are upon you. It is time to go. Surely there must be a better land out there. Now only if you can find your way there.

Thankfully, the sun that is cooking and changing your world has also imbued you with extra-ordinary skills. You can continue to improve these skills and learn new ones. You'll have to, as this new ocean world of your is unrelenting.

Aqua Survivor is a riff on Vampire Survivors, a bullet hell and a continuous struggle and stay alive.

It is playable with either keyboard or gamepad (tested with an X-Box controller).

Playing

Keyboard Input

W, S, A, D -- Movement

Space -- Pause

GamePad

Left stick -- Movement

Touch

Touch the screen and your player will move toward that spot. Buttons will also respond to touch.

Menus

Use the mouse, keyboard arrows and return key or gamepad d-pad and primary button ('A' on the x-box controller) can be used to navigate and select.

Upgrades

You'll be presented with upgrades as you level up. Each will be a trait that you have (weapon or player speed). The icons will tie back to what is being upgraded. The aspect of the upgrade isn't displayed, but will be either shorten the cool-down between usage, or increase the number of items spawned at a time.
